Torpedo Room
The Torpedo Room was my submission for the 3D Modeling component of Ubisoft's 2017 UbiNxt Showcase. The basic premise of the scene is that a member of the submarine crew has made some sort of contact with an alien intelligence. Whether by choice or manipulation the crew member has dismantled the warhead of a torpedo and installed some sort of alien device in its place. Additionally, detailed calculations have been sketched out on the back of a fold-away bed, presumably in relation to whatever greater purpose the modified torpedo would serve. On a more technical level the scene makes extensive use of modular pieces, particularly in the construction of the wall and floor.
Ha Ha, Modularity!!

Materials, UV's and Textures
Here’s a quick breakdown of some of the larger parts of the torpedo room including: finished textured mesh, wireframe version and UV’s/texture set
Original Composition
Here’s a look at the original version of the high-poly model I created. Unfortunately I had to reduce the composition to something less ambitous in order to meet the deadline.
Sketchbook
Here’s a quick look at some of my preliminary sketches.
